Animal Crossing Nook Leaf Coaster

After getting sucked into Animal Crossing: New Horizons, I wanted to make some Nook leaf coasters, but there weren’t any crochet patterns out there so I made my own! These are super quick and easy to make with your leftover bits of green cotton yarn.

Instructions

  1. Make a magic ring, then ch 3, DC 11, sl st to top of ch3 (12 st)
  2. Ch 3, DC in same st as ch3, [2 DC in next st] x 9, {DC, sl st} in next st, {sl st, SC} in next st, sl st to top of ch3 (24 st)
  3. Ch 3, DC in same st as ch3, DC, [2 DC in next st, DC] x 9, turn (leaving the rest of the st unworked) (29 st)
  4. On the “wrong” side, ch 1, [2 SC in next st] x 2, {SC, HDC} in next st, DC 2, {2 TR} in next st, DTR, TR, {DC, HDC} in next st, SC 2, {SC, HDC} in next st, HDC 2, {HDC, DC} in next st, DC 2, {2 DC} in next st, DC, HDC, {SC, sl st} in next st, sl st…
    Make the stem: ch 4, DC in 2nd ch from hook, HDC, SC, sl st to base of ch4…
    Continue the round: SC, {DC, TR} in next st, TR 2, {2 TR} in next st, DC 2, {3 DC} into the ch3 space
  5. Fasten off, weave in all ends.
  6. Make a bell coaster to go with it!
