Animal Crossing Bell Coaster
I’ve had this sitting in my drafts for over a year, so while I’m not 100% happy with it, perhaps it’s time to just post it. I’ll probably come back and tweak this pattern later, but for now, hope this is helpful for anyone who wants to make Animal Crossing bell coasters to go with their Nook leaf coasters!

- HDC - half double crochet
- HDCinc - half double crochet increase (2 HDCs in one st)

- DCinc - double crochet increase (2 DCs in one st)
- TR - treble crochet (2 YOs before starting the st)

Notes
- Sequences to be repeated are in [ ].
- The beginning ch3 or ch4 counts as a st.
Instructions
- In light yellow, make a magic ring, then ch 2, DC 10, sl st to first DC (10 st)
- Make the 5 points of the star [ch 4, SC in 2nd chain from hook, DC, TR, skip, sl st] x 5, change to dark yellow
- ch 4, 3 TR in same st as ch4, DC, SC 2, DC, [4 TR in valley, DC, SC 2, DC] x 4, sl st to top of ch4 (40 st) Note: The TRs should be placed in the same st at the valley, then each DC should be placed along the side 1/3 of the way from the point of the star, and the 2 SCs should be at the point of the star (or immediately to its left and right). You may want to adjust the placement based on your own preference for how it looks.
- ch 1, [HDCinc, HDC 4] x 8, sl st to top of first HDC, change to light yellow (48 st)
- ch 3, DC in same st as ch3, DC 3, [DCinc, DC 3] x 11, sl st to top of ch3 (60 st)
- Fasten off, weave in all ends.
- Make a leaf coaster to go with it!
